Up & Down
After a decent start to the summer season it went to the inevitable drizzle. The past few weeks though have been ok with intermittent rubbish days. This post covers photographs from Porth Nanven, Marazion, Treen, Kynance Cove, Lamorna Cove, The Lizard, Dollar Cove, Porthleven and Godrevy.

Decent Light
The sunsets over the past couple of months have been some of the best i have seen since i started photography all those years ago. Recently i've been experimenting with shooting a bit earlier into the golden hour rather than at the end. The result is that it allows me to have the shutter open less time and allowing more movement in my photos. I have decided that i've started to like this effect and will continue to do it for the next few months as we arrive at Summer.

Best storms of Jan /Feb
There have been numerous storms already this year with the latest being named Imogen. Here are a selection of photographs, all of which were taken during the worst days of the storms. Amazingly, often there is a period in the storm when the rains clear and some of the colours created are spectacular.

The storms are starting!
Here it comes, Winter full bore! The temperature has dropped, the winds are rising and the opportunity to get out and take photographs without some soft of industrial wet weather gear is declining at a rapid pace. The skies are more often than not just a grey boring mess but with the right foreground subject they can be used to good effect.

Winter starts and so does the real photography!
It's now my favourite time of year to take photographs even though the weather makes it more challenging i find that winter gives some of the best colours and skies.

Start of the heather
Every year around mid August the Cornish coastline is swamped with a sea of purple as the heather starts to appear and this year is no different. I adds another level to an already breathtaking coastline for the short period of time that it is in flower.

Summer?
Well it started off ok but the Summer still hasn't really arrived here in Cornwall. A couple of good days followed by dull overcast, rinse, repeat! I've really lost my enthusiasm to get out and take photos at the moment, not sure if it's the weather or some personal issues that are going on but i have been out a few times over the past weeks.
